Boost Your Immune System Naturally

So it's been a hectic two weeks with COVID-19 and you may have noticed I took a little social media break. I have been home with the kids but my husband is still working at the hospital every day. The scary part for most of us is the feeling of loss of control. I have found that walking really helps me settle my thoughts and I have been walking every morning and evening to try to relieve stress. I have also been working on my wellness course and trying to practice what I preach in my course.⁠

There are some really useful lifestyle interventions that you can do to boost your immune system naturally. During this difficult time, there are so many things out of our control so try to control the things you can with the lifestyle changes below:⁠

  1. Reduce stress through meditation or breathing exercises.⁠

  2. Fill your diet with fiber-rich, nutrient-dense, antioxidant-rich whole plant foods.⁠

  3. Aim for at least seven hours of sleep.⁠

  4. Stay socially connected. Although we absolutely need to practice social distancing, it is still important to talk to friends and family and avoid becoming socially isolated.⁠

  5. Exercise. Last but certainly not least, exercise is key! Exercise is one of the biggest immune system boosters. ⁠
