Did you know that removing your underarm hair was considered taboo up until the early 1900s?  In May 1915, Harper's Bazaar ran an ad touting a new depilatory to remove underarm hair.  Later razors aimed at women were introduced.  Underarm hair was never an issue until the sleeveless dresses of the of the 1910s and 1920s became popular.  This "trend" changed women's perception of body hair and has lasted over 100 years. Who knew?
