#VerifyHealthcare - My Credentials

As a physician, I love the blogging community and sharing my knowledge in dermatology, beauty, wellness, and skincare. The #VerifyHealthcare campaign introduced by @austinchiangmd on Instagram, aims to increase transparency in the medical blogging community. I love the idea of doctors being transparent about their qualifications so that you can seek credibility in the information you are getting on social media. For these reasons, I wanted to share my credentials.

  • Undergraduate: Georgetown University BA in Philosophy Minor: Biology, 4 years.

  • Medical School: Miller University of Miami School of Medicine, MD, 4 years.

  • Internship: Miller University of Miami School of Medicine, 1 year.

  • Dermatology Residency: Miller University of Miami School of Medicine, 3 years.

  • Appointed Chief Resident Miller University of Miami School of Medicine (last year of residency).

  • Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, 2002 to present.

  • Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

  • Director of Ethnic Skin Care, Miller University of Miami School of Medicine.

  • Founder, Specific Beauty Skincare

My clinical and research interests include treating hyperpigmentation, hair disorders, scarring and other common dermatologic concerns in the skin of color population. And as you all know, I LOVE to blog about fun facts in beauty and wellness. I hope you love the content on my page. Enjoy!
