La Roche-Posay Glycolic B5 Serum

La Roche-Posay Glycolic B5 Serum - Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr Heather Explains

Hi I'm Dr Heather MD board-certified dermatologist, and this is La Roche Posay Glycolic B5 Serum. So this product is designed to treat dark spots. It is an actual Dark Spot Corrector and it's packed with ingredients that really do help with dark spots. So I'm going to read the label here and of course, it contains 10% pure glycolic acid but in addition to that, it also has tranexamic acid, kojic acid, and lipo hydroxy acids. So

these ingredients work together to help exfoliate and also help to improve the appearance of dark spots, and uneven skin tone. So it comes in a box like this and when you open up the box it actually has

an applicator tip that just separates the dropper which is separate from the bottle. Now for the purpose of this video, I actually took off the seal but there was a plastic seal here so it should come sealed and then you can take off this cap and then put the dropper cap on which we'll screw on and this is how you'll keep it when it's in your home. So when you take this out, I'm going to take the dropper and you can see that it's a light yellow serum, and you apply it to the skin it's very thin and lightweight so it's a good serum that you can use underneath makeup. You can use it once or twice a day and there are clinical studies that show that in eight weeks it improved the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. So if you're looking for a dark spot corrector with glycolic acid this may be a good product for you.
