Ten Year Challenge

This is me in 2008 at a mini high school reunion. I had finished my residency and was a young attending @umdermatology.

My daughter was just a preschooler and it was before my son was born. It was also the year I started to pursue my dream to create a skincare line for women of color. I left my full-time faculty position at the university to make my dream a reality. Fast forward ten years later to 2018. This picture was taken on the first day on the set of my second infomercial for @specificbeautyskincare 

What a journey this has been. As an entrepreneur, there are highs and lows, but I can guarantee it’s never boring. I LOVE that I am always challenged to do better and keep moving forward. My advice to young entrepreneurs is to believe in yourself and stay confident. Ups and downs are a part of the process and essential to growth and success. I must say, I absolutely have LOVED the journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds.⁣
