Dr. Heather Woolery Lloyd

Heather Woolery-Lloyd, MD, completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and later earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her training in Dermatology at the University of Miami where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd is an internationally recognized expert in skin of color. She has lectured at national and international conferences on the cosmetic concerns of skin of color. She is the creator of Specific Beauty, a skin care line specifically designed for women with multi-hued skin tones.

She participates extensively in clinical research, serving as an investigator for clinical trials with an emphasis on increasing inclusion of skin of color patients. She has been featured as an expert dermatologist in various publications such as Allure, Bustle, Glamour, O Magazine, Prevention and Well+Good.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd practices Dermatology in both a private practice and academic settings. The private practice locations are in North Miami Beach and Midtown Miami. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd currently serves as Director of Ethnic Skin Care for the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Skin of Color Society and has previously served on the Diversity Task Force for the American Academy of Dermatology.
